I was on-hand this week to photograph a ribbon-cutting and gala dinner at the Victoria Inn to celebrate the culmination of a collaboration which they say is a step toward economic empowerment and community viability.

With summer comes Powwow season, and I was lucky enough to be invited out to Bingwi Neyaashi Anishinaabek Community Powwow the other weekend. There were lots of vendors and so many great dancers that participated in the Powwow. Of course, the crowd attending was just as big which was great to say.
