Last year was my first time photographing Wolfy’s Pond Cup. As soon as I finished taking photos of it, I knew I had to come out to the next one. Fast forward to today, and it was here again. Just like last year, it was just as great. It is such a unique atmosphere, and you can just tell that everyone is having a fantastic time.

I arrived about halfway through the day and they were of course in full swing. I’m still amazed that all the players are able to the entire day. You could tell as the day wore on that the intermissions were getting a little longer here and there but everyone was definitely still game.

The train even went by during the games, twice in one evening. Only in Thunder Bay will you see a home made ice rink about 50 feet from train tracks. It’s a sight to behold for sure.

I left just before it started getting dark, but not before I was able to capture a lot of good photos. Take a look below to see some highlights!
