Anytime I get to photograph a wedding at Stepstone Centre, I can’t help but get excited. It’s such an amazingly beautiful location. Pair that with an equally beautiful couple in Eric and Caitlynn, and the result is stunning photos.
As with most weddings there, it was a little more of intimate affair with their closest family and friends. My day began with the girls getting ready in one of the log cabins. It provided plenty of opportunities for lots of candid photos. Before the first look with Caitlynn’s dad was to take place I did head out to the location where Eric and his family were getting ready.
After putting on the gorgoues handmade jewellery that Caitlynn made, we headed outside for some family photos. It was then time to head back to Stepstone for the first look and of course the ceremony. The ceremony took place in the usual spot, outside under the huge trees in the forest. It’s probably one of my favourite backdrops for a wedding in Thunder Bay.
Once the ceremony was done, we did our best to beat the rain (which we pretty much succeeded in doing) of all the family and friends. I then got to spend a little bit of time with just Caitlynn and Eric. This was one of my favourite parts of the day, and I just love how the photos turned out.
Lastly, it was time for the reception. Some highlights were definitely the shoe game, the speeches, as well as the group photo I managed to capture of every single person at the wedding. Not an easy feat!
The day flew by for me, and I’m thankful I was chosen to document such an important day for both Caitlynn and Eric.
