Mary from Mary Creations once again asked me to photograph another original piece of hers. This time it was a birch bark baby bag that should will be giving away as a gift. It’s hard to really appreciate the detail and craftsmanship without seeing it up close and in person.

Once again I got the opportunity to photograph one of Helen Pelletier’s birch bark pieces. This one is called ‘Dagwagani Mawandochige’, which means fall gathering. It’s a winter birch bark 30-30 rifle holder. I say this every time, but it’s probably her best work to date.

DIY Studio
I joined my wife and her friend at the DIY Studio here in the Thunder Bay. I was just there to tag along and check it out. I of course brought my camera along with every intention of taking some photos while I hung with them. I’m so glad I did. It is such a great space and service they are offering. Plus, it’s a very relaxing atmosphere too.
