I often get companies and business reaching out to me for headshots, which I absolutely love doing. They are usually pretty standard, either in the studio or against an even coloured wall. For my shoot with The Faculty of Law we decided to get a little bit more creative with the photos. They were all in a more natural setting, with some being outside and others using backdrops within the school itself.

Rochelle contacted me to help her get some updated photos for her website. She wanted a mix of candid and posed photos to be used for her business. We decided to brave the cool weather down at the marina, which was well worth it. She was super happy with how all the photos turned out. It was very fun and casual session, and I love helping local business owners create unique and engaging imagery for their websites.

Even though the bulk of my photography centres around portrait and wedding photography, I still do enjoy corporate photography as well. When Elegance Medical asked me to do some headshots of their staff and interior/product photos, I immediately said yes.

Callie reached out to me for some updated headshots for her acting portfolio. She ended up going with my very popular 30 minute session. Who said headshot sessions had to be boring? When EcoSuperior contacted me to get some updated headshots and imagery for the website we both agreed Waverley Park would be the perfect location. Seeing as how EcoSuperior is all about the environment, having the session outside just seemed right. I set up a little spot in in the shade to get the standard headshots but I also spent a lot of time getting some candids for their website as well. Of course, we did a few group photos too. In just an hours time, we completely updated their photo library.

When Michelle let me know she needed updated headshots for her re-election campaign, I couldn’t wait to capture some photos of her. We decided on the Marina as the backdrop. It only took about 30 minutes to capture about 25 photos to choose from. Here are some of my favourites from the session.

The Chanterelle is definitely one of the nicest venues in town to host events, so when they approached me to do some headshots and corporate photography of their employees and venue, I jumped at the chance. Only some of the employees need headshots so once we finished those we did some candid photos and some action shots as well. It all took place in the back lounge which is personally my favourite part of the entire building. I had been there on a few occasions on weddings and events that I have photographed in the past.

They were in need of some updated headshots as well as interior photos of some of their products an also some employee working shots. All in all, I did a headshot of 7 different employees and spent about 45 minutes there.

My colleague Denise needed some updated headshots done for her new position at Lakehead University. So, we set aside an hour recently at my new Studio and captured some great photos. I decided to go with a darker grey background because I think it went well with her attire. We got a few different angles, some various lighting setups, and even some 3/4 and full body shots.

A year ago I did my first headshots session at the local CAA office here in Thunder Bay. There were a couple employees this time around that wanted an updated one, and also, another new employee how needed one as well. This session was a perfect example of how convenient on-location headshots are for any business. Once I arrived I set up in the side seating area which took about 5 minutes, and then we were off to the races. Each employee got to choose from about 10 final headshots and they eventually got one retouched one.

I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Jakub this past weekend for some headshots he needed down for his upcoming website. For the location, he decided on something a bit more urban, so what better place then the train yard off of Simpson Street.
Even though there was a slight drizzle the entire session, the photos ended up having a great feel to them. It also helped that Jakub was an awesome model. All in all, we ended up without about 50 final shots and the photos contained here 3 of the final 4 chosen.
