I’ve lost track how many times I have photographed Min and her family, and I’m so grateful for that. There is nothing more rewarding than capturing a family as they grow up.

It was a very fun session yesterday over at the Tree Farm with Melanie and her family. They brought their new puppy with them, which was awesome, and as you’d expect, he kind of stole the show. At the end of the session, I was able to get a few photos of him walking and smelling everything in site.

I’m so excited to have a weekend full of mini sessions at the Tree Farm. It was such a great time last year, I decided to do it again. With the threat of rain in the forecast, Lindsay and her family pushed their session up to today. It worked out perfectly, because the weather was perfect.

The other portion of my mini session this past weekend was with Michael, Evy and Arthur. I was so impressed how easy going both Evy and Arthur were during the entire session. From the very first photo, they were smiling and laughing. It made for a very sincere and authentic session.

I still can’t believe how nice out it was this past weekend. It honestly felt like spring. Even though it was extremely last minute, I managed to book a few mini sessions with families. It’s always nice meeting new families that I haven’t photographed before, and that was exactly the case with Ange and her family.

My latest mini session was with Matt and his family at Squaw Bay . It’s located on Fort William First Nation, and really is a hidden gem. It’s always fun to photograph family. My niece Brittney wanted some new photos of her three kids, so I of course found some time to do so. Brittney hadn’t been to Trow Bridge since high school so it was the perfect spot. Plus, it allowed the kids to just run around and have fun. Let’s just say the majority of the photos were candids. All in all, it was a super fun session. Any chance I get to hangout with family is more than welcome.

My first session at Centennial Park was the perfect way to start the day. I had so much fun photographing Kanisha and her family. Eva was so cute, and she had so much personality. We ended up using the side trail at the park, which was a nice change of scenery. As you can see, Fall is definitely here. Hopefully it stays around a while, because it’s the perfect backdrop for these portrait sessions.

It was another day of mini sessions. This time I had a couple at Centennial Park which is now completely full of vibrant colours. Meladina and her family were a pleasure to photograph, and the homemade skirts they had were absolutely beautiful. It was a quick session, but as always, we came away with a lot of great photos.

Anytime families bring their dogs along on a session, I get excited. As it turns out, both of Shawn’s dogs were excited too! A little too much so sometimes, but it was a super fun session regardless. I was able to get a lot of great captures of not only the dogs, but of course her family as well.
