This past Saturday was a very busy but fun day. Along with Aboriginal Day and Beerfest, I also quickly stopped by another great cause, Stronger Together. It was a benefit in honour of Kevin Corbett and family to show support through this difficult time. Some of Thunder Bay's strongest came together to perform some extremely tough challenges. For the men, they included the stone over bar, car deadlifts and the max log press. On the women's side, there was the max log press.
Since it was a such a busy day, I was only able to catch the car deadlift. It's pretty much how it sounds. The car in question was a blue Mustang. As you can see from the feature photo, it was quite heavy. Overall, it was great to see such an awesome turnout for a very good cause. Even though I was only able to see some of it, it was still a lot of fun. I'll be sure to make my way to the next Strongman Event whenever that takes place here in Thunder Bay.
