Once again it was that time of year to photograph some families for ONWA. This was my 5th time doing it and it wasn't any less fun. Seven families showed up this time and they were all very fun to photograph. The weather cooperated perfectly as well, it was a nice cool cloudy day which made for some perfect lighting.

This marked the second year in a row that I had the pleasure to photograph Amy and her wonderful family. Originally we planned on doing the session at 11:00 in the morning but after seeing the weather forecast calling for -40 degree weather, we pushed it back to the afternoon. Luckily we did because once 3:00 pm came around it was still quite cold. This made for a challenging but very fun photo shoot!

It was yet another beautiful fall day just in time for my latest portrait session with Nancy and her 3 daughters. The location this time around was the Thunder Bay Marina. I like using this location especially when there are kids in the family as it really provides a nice relaxed atmosphere with plenty of distractions.

My latest portrait session was one of the most interesting ones of the season. It was another large family shoot with even more kids this time and even more energy! Sometimes I wish I could watch my shoots afterwards and see just how much running around I did. I’ll never complain though as the photos when you are on the go often turn into some of the best candid photos.
